Layby reap off!!!

I've been reaped off by this company. This is to warm people about their layby terms. I did a layby of R750 of which a total of R400 was paid at their boulders mall branch which had an expiration date for the 8th of March 2019. I then moved from midrand side due to work- the relocation was so urgent that I was unable to go cancel. I then went to one of their branches in Alberton, this was around February this year to pay and I was told that I can only pay the layby at the store I made it at. Due to work and the distance I was only able to go pay it after it had expired and this was end of June, when I got there I was told "I can not make the payment because it has expired" fair enough I understood that point. I then told the lady assisting me to help me change the layby just so I can either add and take something else she said to me "I will not be able to do that or even get the money back because I have forfeited the money and that no one will be able to assist me not even the head office." I asked for the head office number she said he didn't have, she even refused to give the regional managers number as she claimed she didn't know they even if they have one or not. This to me is unacceptable and I say it to be a reap off because their website doesn't say anything about this layby terms, their till slip says nothing about these terms and the assistants there didn't say anything about these kind of terms when opening the layby. The consumer board should be alerted of such reap off stores hence its only fair they take the normal 1% cancelation fee and return the rest to their customers. All I want now is my money back and never to purchase from them again.
