Inferior quality shoes

On the 6th May 2022, I purchased a pair of New Balance sneakers from the East Mall store. The shoes were a size 13, 5 Kids. These shoes were paid for cash at the value of R999, 00. They were the correct and fitting size for my son. On the 14th of May, the shoes were worn for the first time since the purchase. After a few hours on the same day, I noticed that the shoes’ front soles were peeling off. I let my son take off the shoes. On the 20th May I went back to the store to return them based on the inferior quality. I was told that the matter would be investigated first before I could get The correct remedy. I have since contacted their head office and still was not provided with a solution. The shoes were handed in at the store, with the hope that I would get an exchange pair. I am aware of their return policy and have no opposition to it, however I would like the retailer to provide me with an opportunity to get a new pair sneakers, as they do not have a money return policy.
