False adverti*****t used to lure customers, Rude Manager

Today 16th December 2019 I went to Cross Trainer Fourways Mall, Store no *** (Quoted by the manager). I am still shocked and surprised by the terrible service I received from the store. My attention was drawn by a Grey Reebok Sweater code ***2 that was Taged R189.95. Upon showing the lady that assisted me she refused and said the price is R489.95 as it was R699.95.nShe further said it was that price on the 21 so she showed me the number on that price of R189.95. The number was ***2. Which this for me did not make sense? The top had 3 prices on it. I tried explaining how that was a false adverti*****t. The lady called the manager (Dlamini Alpheus) for me. When he arrived he started saying another story. He said he never had such a price of R189.95 he insisted the 1 on the price tag was a 4. He blamed everything on the scanner. He was so rude and not even willing to listen to what I was saying and he never had a minute to examine the price tag. Please see pictures attached. A 1 and 4 can never be the same at least even if it was cut off maybe the 4 is not as straight as 1. According to the consumer protection Act “if there is an error in the price, the supplier cannot insist that the consumer pay a higher price for the goods or services that one they displayed. If more than one price is displayed, the consumer is not required to pay the higher of the two prices displayed”. Regardless of trying to explain how this is unfair the manager showed no interest he was so rude. I am hurt by this as I have already pictured myself in the sweater. I need someone to intervene as this feels like day light *******. Use lower prices to draw attention and ***** people off.
