They lie to us
Almost everyday on the radio you hear about the excellent service Crises ON Call delivers, speaking for you when you are unable. Free monitoring, free ambulance services, free medical assistance etc.
My daughter fell ill, I phoned crises on call for advise/assistance. It took the lade 3 guesses, what my latest address is. Then she logged a call for the ambulance services to contact me. A man phoned me, told me that they will have to send an ambulance to me. The call out fee is R2500.00, that is just to get to me. If they have to use anything, it will be extra. I told them no thank you. I phoned crises on call again, told them my experience, and that I still was not able to receive any assistance. She responded that no, the ambulance is free, its included in our package. I have to hold the line. I hold for more than 10 minutes. Meantime, my daughter is in so much pain. Eventually, she connected me with another man from the ambulance services. He took forever to hear my phone number. Had to repeat it at least 10 times. I had to repeat my daughters age, her symptems, etc. Then came the address. He could not hear/understand my address. The lady from COC stepped in and start to spell it for him. By that time, I was so frustrated and irritated. My daughter cried with pain and I still could not come anywhere. I cancelled everything, and took my girl to the ER nearest to me. It turns out, my daughter had appendicitis. From now on, every time I hear them advertise, I will know it is all lies.
