No compassion for ex employee

Good day,

My husband was dismissed from CRH Africa 13th of December 2017. He is a diabetic, a week after his dismissal he ended up in hospital with a diabetic foot. He is is not able to work at the moment, due to an amputated toe and wounds trying to heal. Regardless of numerous emails and telephone calls, we still have not received the documents to be able to claim unemployment. They also have not removed him from the company medical aid which is causing a problem for us to join a medical aid as private members. He might have to have further operation to amputate another toe next week, all of this is adding to his stress levels as nothing is resolved and in the meantimr his health is deteriorating. Is anybody able to assist us or give us advice on this matter?
