BE CAREFUL BEFORE YOU CHOOSE SCREED FLOORS

Crete & Coat, Honeydew, did screed floors for us in Dec last year. A bad experience from the start! Due to their inefficiency, not enough product was to complete the job. This resulted in having two different hues on our floors. What should have been rectified immediately, has never been done. To add to this, the sealant on our floors started lifting, small cracks became gorges, and when - finally - they sent someone out to 'fix' the problem areas this past month following our threat to pursue legal action, they ended up doing more harm than good. We're left with a sticky mess where the new sealant wouldn't bind to the old, resulting in sheets of sealant peeling off. In other areas, we're left with grey patches (almost 2m wide) on our cream cement floors. The 'professional applicator' told us \that our floors had him beaten". An opinion from another screed floor company confirmed our worst fears: our floors would have to be done from start. No amount of 'fixing' will work. Screed floors cannot be patched. Needless to say"
