Parking Machines Faulty / *******
First of all, it doesn't surprise me one bit that Cresta do no respond to complaints on the Hello Peter forum - they do not even respond to comments made on their own Facebook page, let alone emails sent to [Email Removed]<br> <br> I was at the centre on 16 December 2015, which is a public holiday. According to the parking machines, the first 30 minutes on a public holiday are free, thereafter a flat rate of R10 applies. My parking ticket time stamps indicated that I had been parked for 24 minutes, yet I was still was charged R10. <br> <br> It is not about the money, it is the false, misleading signage that irks me (as well as the non-response to email correspondence).<br> <br> Fortunately I do not usually shop at Cresta but if I am ever in the area again, I will think 3 times before setting foot there again. <br>
As per our previous email response, the parking ticket attached on your email query reflected Car Park 3, entry 11 which is a covered parking area that leads to Checkers entrance accessible through Beyers Naude Dr & Weltevreden Road. On Wednesday 16, Dec you were charged the weekend/ public holiday flat rate of R10 applicable for all covered parking for the whole day.
The current tariffs were designed with consideration of a free period as well as flat rates for weekends and weekdays, a summary is below: 0 - 1hr, free in the open parking areas during the week only. 30 minutes, free in the open parking areas on weekends and public holidays. Weekday evenings flat rate -from 6pm onwards, R8 in the uncovered areas and R10 in the covered areas.

Our parking tariffs were also attached on the email response for ease of reference.
