Paid parking is a huge hassle
<p>Most of the time the paid parking meters have one problem or another with accepting you money. . It's bad enough that you now have to pay for the previously free parking but it's even worse that when it's time to pay for it, it won't accept your money.. it also does not accept cards so if you don't have change you have to try get alternative change from a nearby store, this just makes it even more painful to to get in and out of Cresta.. So they must either upgrade to a better parking system or get rid of it all together. </p>

Our customers’ experience is highly important to us and we understand that this is one of the factors that does contribute to the functionality of Cresta.
In terms of the upgrades, these included an enclosed boundary to the centre, installing new exterior lighting, anti-car jamming devices, and the newly improved parking-access system. We had a few technical problems at the pay stations particularly with the R10 notes, however the matter has been resolved as all machines can fully identify all R10 notes and provide change.
We are aware that a credit or debit card facility is necessary and we are working on introducing this. Kindly note shoppers are also able to receive further assistance at a parking pay station or boom by using the “call” button to reach a live operator available 24 hours a day. Alternatively the nearest security guard may be requested to assist.
In an attempt to be sensitive to the needs of our shoppers an arrangement of free period has been made. Below is the summary:
0 – 1 Hour Free in the open parking areas during the week only
30 mins Free in the open parking areas on weekends and public holidays
All day Free on Wednesdays to all senior shoppers over 60+
Also, kindly note if you shop at Pick n Pay your parking ticket will be validated in-store and you will receive 90 minutes free parking.
