Lose your ticket only on a Wednesday, Pensioners!
To start, let me say that Cresta is my favourite shopping Centre. I have been shopping there since the early 1990s. However, I have twice had a bad encounter with the ladies that run the parking service. Today was the second time. I lost my parking ticket and the security man at the parking grounds was very helpful and helped me look, but we could not find the ticket. He told me to approach the ladies dressed in black outfits who were standing near the booms. They were not helpful at all. According to them, I had to pay the fine for losing my ticket. I understand that the ticket system is for security, but anyone looking at me, will tell you I am not a car ***** and why must I pay such a fine when I am a pensioner? Couldn't I have a discount? I was only in the centre for approximately 20 minutes and that would be free if I did not lose my ticket. They said sorry - tickets are only free for pensioners on Wednesdays, so if you are going to lose your ticket and you are a pensioner, do so on a Wednesday. I objected against the unfriendliness, the unhelpfulness and the unreasonableness and went to the parking office to explain. I was met with the same unreasonableness. You lose... you pay. no excuses. I went to the information desk where the lady was very helpful and made a call and told me I could go to the boom and give my name and the boom would be opened for me. Cresta Centre wants its customers to have a good shopping experience, why not train the ladies in black to be more helpful, kind, friendly and understanding? There was a man working at the Parking Office who did help me once before when I lost my ticket. It is a matter of a bad attitude.
