They'll Send Reminders for Your Payment Agreement to Someone Who Has No Right to the Information

I have a Standard Bank account and an Edgars account that I'm paying via debit order on time every month. The debit orders have never been unpaid. So, imagine my surprise over the last two months when my MOTHER has been getting reminders for MY payments. Perhaps you're not aware of this fact, but the agreement was made between you and I.

It's ******* to share details of this agreement with a third party without a court order without my consent. When I called into the call centre to demand an explanation, I was understandably upset. Apparently your system "defaulted" to my mother's number because you couldn't get hold of me on my phone.

My number hasn't changed in the last ten years. The only place you could have gotten my mother's number was on the original credit application. To add insult to injury, the call centre consultant didn't even attempt to apologize. She had a "Well that's the way it works attitude." and then got aggro at me because I was upset.

Kindly confirm on this public forum that my mother's number has been removed. I retract my permission to be contacted by you via SMS. In future, if you want to send a reminder, send it to my email address.
