Lies to get business

<p>I received an sms today from Tenacity advising that I still owe a Nashua account that was settled about 7 years ago. Apparently Nashua handed the account over to Creditworx. I am puzzled because they were even debiting the my account for that matter. I cannot even remember if I received a paid up letter but the lady I spoke to insists that I need to send them a paid up letter in order for them to stop sending me smses because they charge me for each sms or call they make to me. I have a serious challenge in my hands because that account was paid up but now I'm unable to provide proof of 7 years ago. Is Nashua or Creditworx trying to make money out of their clients by making up lies about accounts which were settled long ago. I'm really confused.
