Credit Matters Business Conduct

<div>Would just like to share my experience I've had to endure for the past 9 years or so. I was contacted by Credit Matters in 2012 to sign up for debt review, I entered into a contract with them in 2012 but contacted them to cancel as I was getting married in 2013 and my then husband did not agree to go into the program and I therefore cancelled. Upon checking my credit profile I was dumbstruck to see that I'm still listed even though my contract was cancelled. I contacted this company and have been told that I now need to pay a fee to have the flag removed. According to them none of my documents can be retrieved due to their systems crashing in 2010 (i was contacted in 2012). I need advise on how to go about clearing my name with Credit Matters or is there any way I can take further steps.</div>

Reviewer Update
Good day,

Yes I did contact Jo-anne with regards to assisting me but after seeking legal advise it was made clear to me that this was ********l. And as indicated to Jo-ann, cancellation documents were signed at the Mitchell's plain branch in 2013 prior to me getting married. I was then informed by of the system crashing at the mentioned office. It was only after I check my profile in 2018 that I saw I was still flagged which meant was husband was also supposed to be under debt review but he is not. As advised in my previous review a lady named Akeela assisted with this cancellation And she was well informed that my husband was not going under debt review and that was when the cancellation was put through.
