Account Disputes and Clearance

<p>I resently wanted to apply for a car and upon finishing me test drive and doing my finance I was told I have an account to my name that I knew nothing about as it was opened when I was in university and wanted nothing to do with my account. After discovering all of this I took action to get my name cleared so I am able to continue with my car application so I called RAGE Stores and TransUnion to get it sorted out. I had to submit all sorts of documentation to RAGE and TransUnion. Rage had not given me a response of when I would get my clearence and TransUnions said it would investigate and the investigation would take 20 days and I understood. I thought when they said 20 days they would sort out everything even my credit score cause it has not been damaged. In 9 days I receieved a clearance from rage that the account was paid and it was ***** that was done under my name, after I had to keep doing a follow up on my case cause they were not communicating anything to me concerning the matter. On the 10th day I called TransUnion and was that my investigation had not finished and I have to wait till day 20. On day 20 I called again asking about my case and I was told it has been cleared and removed from my name 2 days ago, again no communication between them and me. I had to keep doing follow-up I received a letter say I have been cleared and the fruad account has been removed from my name. But the problem has not been sort when I went with my documentation to the dealership I was told I can not get car because my credit score was high. My problem is this, I didnt open a ********** account it has affect my credit record and thus I can't apply for anything. As a consumer I thought that TransUnion would re-instate my credit score to what is was before the whole ***** case but only to be told by them that "sorry there's nothing we can do you need to wait maybe 3 months before it goes back to the credit score it was initiallly". Now how is this my problem it was not something I did and it has now reflected badly on me. Can they not do anything at all to change my credit score I have no idea how that happens. Why do I have to suffer after they have cleared me as they say. Can my credit score please be fixed is all I request from TransUnions.</p> <p>Regards an UNHAPPY CONSUMER.</p>
