Dishonest and rude (DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR PASSWORD)

The owner of this company, Sam, is extremely rude. Their steps are weird, they ask you to pay in full then provide them with your current CV and then ask you a few questions then start working. Quite early in the process, they send you a link to review them so they can receive some code to put your CV on recruiters’ database. They make it a condition in order to access this precious code that their system requires, one wonders why a review would be required so early in the process. The way everything supposedly works with them is through this robotic process that cannot be overcome in any way, when you want to find out why they do the things they do after they start working on your CV and LinkedIn; Sam consistently keeps responding “did you read the terms and conditions” like some AI bot when you have entrusted a lot of money and expect service from these people. Then they go on to “optimise your LinkedIn”, I explicitly explained my career goals and that I would like to move from my current industry early in the process. They went ahead and changed my profile and invited every single person in my current company and industry even though I had made it clear that my goal is to move from the industry. Sam then blames you for not reading the terms and conditions and insisted that I should have been clear that I do not want anyone from my company or current industry. Seriously? Did I have to explicitly say it after I mentioned what my goals were? Then he deflected and said that it doesn’t actually matter who gets invited anyway but about numbers. He then argued with me for a long time talking about how he started the business 7 years ago and I should read his reviews and how much he knows what he is doing and that he felt insulted when I asked him why I should be reviewing so early. He said he felt I did not trust him and that hurt him so he did not want to help me anymore actually especially because all his previous clients had never asked a question of that kind. I then asked him where in his favourite terms and conditions are there model questions to ask and no go questions. I later logged onto Google and saw the so-called reviews and how the negative reviews get deleted. While I was doing further research about this company, I found a review that matched my experience on Hello Peter and also happened to realise that my one friend used them. He has a very similar negative experience with them so I am led to believe one reviewer who said after requesting your password for LinkedIn, they can also try to log onto your Google profile and positive review on their behalf. It is disheartening that they are so rude and don’t listen when they work in a sensitive industry of people looking for jobs in the current job climate. Also apparently questions for clarity are too much to ask for. I had never seen anyone argue with a customer as much as Sam before, he hardly even gives you space to talk - I had to request to be given a chance to talk when I was talking to him. I am posting this here because I agree with Mikayla P based on my experience. What is also odd about this company is that the owner’s whole body pictures are pasted on each job advert poster - it gives an aura of someone who has main character syndrome. Why are his pictures necessary to attach to every single job advert? I just hope that honest reviews about the business come out to allow people the freedom of choice as there are many other companies that offer the service while respecting customers, not misrepresenting information, not getting emotional over questions of clarity, not behaving like AI bots and most importantly, respecting the customer’s wishes.
