Unprofessional and Never end empty promises.

I was browsing through Gumtree for 2nd hand furniture in July came across an add with a couch that caught my eye, followed up on the guy called Matthew Sokopo that posted it. He told me how i can order and receive my goods, as this is an online shop. A month later i ordered i was told my couch will take 4-7days to be made, and i got excited but also cautious about how fast this process was. Deposited R100 so they will process the order, they took the whole week to acknowledge the deposit of which i had to make numerous calls and send several whatsapp messages so that i will receive a message or something that said "we received your money" so obviously now having waiting a week for a response my couch was not going to be ready in 4-7days. I gave these people a benefit of a doubt as the sales person/manager (Matthew Sokopo of Sokopo Investments) was a smooth talker and reassuring so i went ahead with my order. Fine another week passes now im raising my concerns to this Matt guy and again reassures me that my couch will be delivered in 2days, mind you this is a COD online shop so I was'nt at any loss yet besides my R100. Day before my couch is delivered he tells me the factory had power outage and they are delayed in many orders so obviously this means i have to wait. In a nutshell got the couch a month later which they delivered without making a prior appointment now i had to rush home because of this inconvenience, delivery van is an old s****py small bakkie which had my couch squashed and shady looking, so quickly packed couch paid and rushed back to work again. I come back later i do a check in this couch, firstly they falsely advertised the couch because it looked nothing like the one in the picture but i liked this one too. So through further investigation i see that the cushions are not aligned with the couch frame or base, they are longer which forces them to overlap. This 7seater couch has 2day beds, the cushion of the day bed is skew and obviously overlaps, the cushions were flat in no time, the linen material used on the couches was already tearing up, zips of the cushions were where skew and do not close to the end, ottoman frame has those black patches that is supposed to make it stick but NO its loose doesn't attach and has loose threads. I reported this to Matt within a week, sent him WhatsApp and emails with pictures but to no avail. He came back to me with excuses of rebooting WhatsApp and not checked emails etc. On the 'Word Document' invoice he sent me it stated that the couch has a 5 year guarantee so i expected some sort of comforting experience with this but i dint, instead i got empty promises, delays, excuses of delivery van/bakkie breaking down, running out of petrol, unanswered phone calls, having to call numerous numbers to get hold of this Matt guy and still get his unprofessional and non remorseful behaviour. I asked him to draw up a contract that states when will my couch be taken and when will it be returned that took him a week to come up with another lie saying his lawyers said theres no need for a contract as "there is no money in the account" to get him to explain this was a mission because this was a blatant lie. I wanted my money back again this was a struggle and i said because of this horrible experience i should be getting an apology or something. Eventually 2months later (From end September to December) i get phonecall from delivery guy past 6pm saying he is coming to pickup the couch, this is without making prior communication with me, they do not even know my address or if im at home plus when i asked if the contract was drawn delivery guy said no so he had to go back. This Matt guy tells this delivery guy that we had an agreement that there wont be a contract drawn etc. i call again yet again to no avail. I give up and tell myself they will get the couch and bring it back when they are done, i send this Matt guy a message telling him in 2weeks il be leaving for home so if they take the couch it must be back on the 6th as i will be leaving on the 7th or the 8th, yet again i was promised empty promises. Couch cushions were taken 30th Dec 17 a week later and they had 6days with them. Cushions came back on the 7th Dec 17 at night mind you still with the same errors, the only difference was that the cushions were not flat anymore. I call Matt to no avail sent him pictures of te cushion till today i have not gotten a reply. Sokopo Investments owner is a ***** that stole "Creative Comforts" name from "Comfort Creations" they are also based in Rooderport, Gauteng. I found this out when i did investigations, they are **** and i pledge to people to not get mislead and get lured into doing business with this ***** of a person.
