Extremely rude and offensive staff

The staff at the Ferndale on Republic are rude and offensive and have no shame at all. We went there on Friday 09.08.2024 at around 11am. When cashing out the female cashiers looked at me and said in Zulu, "Your mother workout but what about you", which was clearly a remark towards my size as I am not petite. I responded to her with some irritation and shock as to if she thought that was an appropriate manner in which to speak to a customer. In response she laughed and said well have you looked at yourself. Clearly offended and somewhat angry I told her that that was no way she should be speaking to a customer ever. Her response still was to laugh. There were other staff by the tills who could hear what was happening but all just kept quiet. Out of respect for myself and other customers I paid and left and chose not to cause a much bigger scene. I must say the staff there are very poorly trained in how to properly speak to customer. That woman if I can call her that was rude, offensive and her behaviour is disgusting. Needless to say I and all those around me shall no longer be doing business at such an ill-mannered place.
