CRASH MOTORS PE branch DAMAGED MY VEHICLE AND ARE NOTWILLING TO PROVIDE A COURTESY VEHICLE WHILE THEY TAKE IT FOR REPAIRS

On the 24/06/2016 I had requested that my Vehicle Sandero Reg. No. HSX 732 EC be towed back to the dealer Seamans Motors in PE. Liquid capital (The financial company that is employed or is used by Renault road assist i. LiquidCapital (Pty) Ltd is Authorised Financial Services Provider FSP 6210.Registration Number: ***Directors: L Bakoro (Chairperson)**, KA Cassel (MD), B Francis**, DP MacPherson, JA Nolan, F Roestorff, GW Walker)appointed Crash Motors to do the Job.

The driver arrived at past 5 and he was travelling with his family. After he loaded the vehicle when he was about to get in the truck, I requested the inspection sheet from the driver and he said “do not worry about that, I can see that the car is 100% fine”.

On arrival back on the 15/07/2016 I did not notice that it had been damaged. On the 20/07/2016 parked and coming from front I noticed that it had some holes on the bumper and when I looked it was two holes, the bumper was not tight as I was moving it to check what could have happened. Later in the week, it showed that the front grill was also broken.

As the vehicle was sent to Renault, I quickly called Renault to find out if they are aware of the damages and that I request an inspection sheet on the delivery of the vehicle. Charne the service Manager confirmed to me that she remembers that the car had two bad knocks on the vehicle front bumper but they sent an inspection sheet. Which stipulated that the vehicle was only sent to then on the 27/06/2016 ( which means it stayed at Crash Motors yard the whole weekend ), which the driver Wilco Meyers says that “he brought the vehicle to Renault and two guys that he can Identify have told him the workshop is full and that he should take it back with him and bring it back on Monday the 27/06/2016.” When I got back to Nicole service assistant, she told me that the car was only brought back on Monday and that there is no such as returning the tow truck with a vehicle unless it was closed already, which in my understanding the car was supposed to be taken to Renault 25/06/2016, as early as the opening time because it was towed the evening before.

After I was told that the vehicle was brought to Renault PE damaged, On the same day the 20/07/2016 the day I noticed the damage, I called Crash Motors regarding the accident or the damages and the lady that was on duty in the afternoon and she told me that the vehicle was brought in damaged and I requested an inspection sheet as per an advice from the dealer.

There was no response from Crash Motors’ side on the 20/07/2016 and the following day, I tried calling the company and with no luck, up until eventually at 16:20 it was sent to me.

She responded after I have been calling the Management (Claudia, Mr Mulder, Jan, Anthony ) and I was tossed and passed like a ball to every person as no one wanted to accept the responsibility as stressed as I was.

I believe the towing sheet was only done on the day they sent it to me. My name was spelt incorrectly and i was not provided a slip to sign on.Secondly, I took pictures of my vehicle while it was on the truck and there are no signs of damage.

I later had to involve Liquid Capital because it is them that appointed Crash Motors the towing company that caused such grief to me and after a long unnecessary fight for my rights, eventually Mr Mulder the Owner who has not been a pleasant service provider since I started talking to him about the issue, he gave a go ahead that the car must be taken to PE for repairs at Auto body works.

He told me by e-mail that whenever it is convenient for me, I must let Eddie ( Grahamstown drivers ) know so that he can take the car to PE.

As I already have morning and afternoon commitments, I requested that they provide a courtesy vehicle for me meanwhile the vehicle is under repairs. Mr Mulder refused point blank. I had to go back to Liquid Capital to ask for intervention again. They requested that Crash Motors enquires if the Body shop provides courtesy vehicles, and the response was no, they do not.

I persisted requesting that I be provided with a vehicle meanwhile the car is under repairs and Mr Mulder stood his ground and was adamant that he maintains his statement that there will be no provision for me. I then requested that the vehicle be repaired and returned to me not more than 3 three days. He further told me that he is in no position to know when the shop will be done with my vehicle.

I later in the month involved my Legal team and even then he stood and told us that I will not be provided with a vehicle. On the 16/01/2017, I took another step and involved the towing companies assossiation/ board SATRA, I forwarded a complaint which they responded that it will be attended to within 5 days.

I even called Auto body works and they told me that they do provide clients with courtesy vehicles and that if a car will be with them for over 10 days, the vehicle is provided subject to an application which has a minimum of 8 week waiting period. I do not get why I was not given this information.

My car is deteriorating, the bumper is getting worse and the front grill is breaking as two straps are missing as we speak. I am scared that the flap that has been hanging since the damaged will also get lost as it is detatched and not intact.

My car was only a month old, less than 1000 km’s when this company took it; I have had to live with this stress for the past 7 months. I have done everything in my power to cry for help and my cry was in vein. I do not deserve this treatment from service providers that are supposed to keep a client happy all the time instead I was drowning in stress. I can not be without a vehicle not even a day,not when a company damaged my asset on top of that I had to fight for whats right. My complaint was not treated with respect or dignity from the get go; I still have the telephonic conversation with every Crash Motor officials defending each other playing an unfair card on me. I have kept before and after pictures of my car. I have kept each and every e-mail I ever conversed with them.

I hope this will assist in getting the treatment I deserve as a client.

Regard!

Nhube Olwethu
