Still no goods received

I placed an order on 23 August and all items in the order showed as in stock. It is now October 29 and still nothing received. When I enquire I get a reply that there is a delay with their supplier. Why show goods as in stock when you don't actually have the stock and how long can a delay be? Unacceptable!
