****med by Craft-a-tshirt, and not willing to refund NPO for children with special needs

I work at an NPO catering to children with special needs, and where our finances are very limited. When looking for a company to assist us with affordable printing of tshirts as staff uniforms, I found that Craft-a-tshirt had great reviews online, and contacted them. The staff member that I dealt with was extremely helpful, responding immediately to my queries, dropping off samples when I requested them, and the company was willing to provide us with a discount which we were very grateful for. We were requested to send an 80% deposit, which we did immediately, and so our order was finalised on the 2nd March 2022. It is now the 2nd June 2022, and since March, we have had extremely poor communication from the company, and sometimes weeks have gone by and we have not heard from them or received responses to messages or calls. When the owner did finally get back to us, he mentioned that there was an error with the tshirts printed, that they were correcting this, and that we would receive some of the tshirts by the end of that week, which did not occur. When he responded next to our messages, he reported that he was in China!!! We have still not received any tshirts, and are no longer receiving responses from the owner. We have requested that our deposit be returned, but have had no response to this, or willingness to meet us halfway. It is heartbreaking to think that we have lost this money, when we are relying on funding month to month.
