Dont use CPG security

My mom ( the owner of the property ) has been struggling since last week Wednesday/Thursday to get CPG security to send out an technician to come test the security system we have. She has had to call them three times requesting this service, each time she was told a technitian will be sent out. This morning I was contacted by Candice at CPG, regarding the request. I told her that the battery of the alarm system only lasts about a hour or so, during loadshedding, but I want a technitian to come test the system. I am leasing the property from my mom . She told me that she will send me a qoute for the replacement of the battery and test of the system before they send out a technitian. I gave her my email adress, and she sent me a qoute of R600 for the service. I forwarded this qoute to my mom, because she is the owner of the propery and also the account holder with CPG. My husband previously was the account holder but we are going through a divorce, so we removed him and had my mom take over the account from him . My mom then contacted them regarding this qoute and a slew of communication took place between my mother and CPG. According to my mother, she was screamed at on various occasions during the conversation and the consultant/s she spoke to was very rude, demanding that my mom be at the property when a technitian is sent out, and they MUST pay the service in cash before any service is delivered. This in my opinion is extremely unprofessional and very bad service. During the conversation my mom and her partner did tell the consultant that they cannot be at the property since they are on their way to a funeral, by which the consultant rep**** that this has nothing to do with them going to a funeral. She had absolutely no empathy, and did not stop being rude or screaming at my mother even after they told her that they are away for a family funeral.

My advice to anyone who is looking for a security company in or around Homestead Germiston, dont look at contracting CPG security, they are a buch of rude people who are eager to take your money and provide bad service in return.
