COMPLAINT/REFUND REQUEST
The Owner Cozy GuestRooms/Dumelang 42 Brand Road, President Park, Midrand Johannesburg Dear Owner, I am writing to formally complain about my stay at Cozy Guest Rooms on 14 July 2026 to 15 July 2026, Booking *** I booked based on your online adverti*****t which portrays the guest house as properly cared for. The actual conditions were unacceptable, unprofessional, and a clear misrepresentation to the public. The issues I experienced: No Heating: It is June/July winter and the room was terribly cold. there are no heaters provided in the rooms. I was freezing the entire night and could not sleep. No Power Access: There were no twin plugs in the room to charge a phone or any device. some of us are on working missions. Bathroom Not Fit for Purpose: The bathroom has a bathtub with no taps. the sink has no hot water. Guests are forced to use only the shower. This is not up to standard. No Basic Amenities: There was no remote to switch the TV on and off. The only remote available was for the DStv decoder. No Food Service: There is no place on the premises serving meals of any kind, which was not disclosed. Misrepresentation: The online photos and description do not reflect these conditions. Guests are being misled. I did not enjoy my stay at all. It is clear that the owner's priority is money and not the welfare and comfort of guests. My Request: Due to the above failures and misrepresentation, I am requesting a full refund for my one-night booking. Please provide a response and arrange the refund within 7 days of this letter, If I do not receive a response, I will escalate this matter to the Tourism Grading Council of South Africa and post a factual review on all booking platforms.
