This establishment tried to price gouge us to pay an additional R2325 per room. Scored 1.0

When we arrived to check in Sat 28 Sep 2024, the Duty Manager Selwyn, informed us that the price of our rooms had increased from R675 to R3000 each and that if we did not pay the R2 325 difference per room, we could not check in. He informed us that Bookin.com had withdrawn our bookings when Coyotes informed them of this increase and should have informed us of the change in our bookings. Our bookings were made and confirmed by Booking.com on 25th May 2024 for R675 per room. We had not received any notification in this regard and do not believe that Coyotes had in fact done this. We found alternative accommodation for R2000 per room as there was a rugby Test Match that afternoon and no other accommodation was available. It is our opinion that Coyotes Hotel utilizes price gouging and should not be on any booking platform. It created an extremely stressful situation. Please remove Coyotes Hotel and Conference Centre from your Booking.com platform.
