***boys and cooks very unwelcome vibe

My partner and I chose to have lunch Saturday afternoon. There was not a warm welcome as we came up the stairs. We where seated the table was clean, no problem. My partner went to the WC and complained to the waiter that it was dirty and it was the second time he had experienced this on a previous visit. The waiter took offense saying my partner swore at him and clear told the manager, who did not address the matter but make it clear we where not welcome. It was difficult to wave down staff to take any further orders we had. We ate, and the food was delicious as per the norm. I went to the Ladies and it was also dirty and no hand soap or paper towels or sanitizer to clean my hands. Got back to the table ordered another bottle of wine as we where enjoying our day together. The manager came told us we need to move he has this table booked in the next half an hour. There where tables either side of us open with four chairs, it was the way he spoke it was just shout down of the day, I cancelled the bottle of wine and asked for card machine to pay and leave. And as lovely as the steak was with the bone marrow... I can't say we will rush back... it really left a bad taste in our mouth, sad because it is on our door step but clearly they have all the customers they need and prefer caring for their regulars.
