Bad Experience

I had the misfortune of opting to buy a new Ford Figo from County Ford Goodwood.

The experience started with the salesman telling us that they don’t have any of the TREND models available and that they only have the TITANIUM models in stock with a R20 000 price difference.

I then opted to buy back our trade in (a 2013 Ford Fiesta) which was still in good condition and since we bought the car new, I knew the history of the car.

County Food quoted me 112744.96 which included an extended service plan, Service delivery, Roadworthy, Paint Protect, Smash and Grab tint & an Admin fee. The contract amount app**** for by County Ford was 121 544.96 financing.

Furthermore when I reviewed the contact for the Fiesta I notice the following discrepancies:

1. Delivery Charge of R 627, Which they explained as a tank of petrol
2. Delivery Fee of R 1824 unexplained
3. The Salesman added in a SuperShield Paint Protector of R 1362.30 which I never requested but was told it is standard.

The smash and grab tint added to the Fiesta at a charged of R 2 918 was done extremely poorly and the grommets on the doors broken, the tank was not filled.

The salesmen at this point were very helpful and ask me to bring back the car so that they can repair the tint and fill the tank. When I enquired as to which company performed the tinting I was told that the service department performed the tinting themselves.

When I got the car back the second time it had even more damage than before, this time the boot spoiler as well as the rear window was badly scratched. I contacted the salesman and he then rep**** that the damage is on the outside and had nothing to do with the tint on the inside of the car.

He then rep**** in a second message that as a curtesy they will repair the damage they caused.

We then got a letter from the traffic department saying that we must renew the license for the Fiesta and upon inspection of the license disk I noticed that it was still the old disk. When I contacted the dealer I was informed that they have the registration papers with them, why was the disk not added to the car.

I can honestly say that I am disgusted and extremely disappointed by the level of service and colourful accounting done by County Ford Goodwood.
