County Fair Chicken Nuggets smelled and looked off

We bought a few boxes of County Fair Light Chicken Breast Nuggets from Walker Centre Pick n Pay a couple of months ago. When you fry them, they have an awful stinky feet smell, totally different colour (greenish) and are half the size of when they were frozen. I went to Pick n Pay to exchange them for another brand. They wanted my till slip, but who keeps all their daily grocery slips? Told them that I don't need a refund and am willing to exchange it even for the Pick n Pay brand. Then got refunded, as they only had County Fair Nuggets in stock. I don't need a response from County Fair or Pic n Pay. I just want to warn other parents to make sure that they check that the chicken nuggets aren't off before serving it to children. The expiry date is only in July 2018.
