Country fair gone off product and poor customer service

I bought the country fair chicken breast steaklets. 2 boxes of 4. I opened 1 of the boxes to fry. It was looking off compared to how it supposed to look and had dark spots on it. I tried it and as I was trying it got a terrible smell like as if someone urinated and left it to stand. I had other things trying in the same pan and had to throw all that I had out. I phoned customer care and they said they would have to investigate and they can only replace the box and no compensation would be provided. My concern is this, what if my daughter had to fry it and and ate and got sick, what in about all the hassle it caused and what if it was my last money I used to buy this and it was off? The company doesn't seem to care. I also have pictures of the items. I deserve compensation for this poor experience
