Ongoing Treatment for Ear Infection

I regret to express my profound disappointment with the services provided by Country Animal Clinic over the past nine months. My dog, Bruno, has been battling a persistent ear infection since November 2023, and despite numerous consultations and treatments, his condition remains unresolved. I have invested close to R5 000 in medications and visits, yet there has been no tangible improvement in Bruno's ear infection. From the onset, the clinic's approach to Bruno's treatment raised concerns. Despite following every directive given by the veterinarians, including regular medication and consistent communication for advice, Bruno's condition has not improved. The treatments plan lacked a clear and effective strategy, which led to prolonged suffering for my dog. The repeated visits and ongoing treatments seemed more like a financial drain rather than a solution to Bruno's health issues.

The clinic responded it’s normal to spend this on an ear infection and that it is my lack of care.

Moreover, the communication from the clinic was often more defensive than constructive. Instead of addressing my concerns with the seriousness they deserved, the responses felt dismissive, with little to no acknowledgment of the ongoing nature of Bruno's condition. The gaps between appointments, coupled with the vague explanations regarding the effectiveness of the treatments, only added to my frustration. As a loyal client for five years, I expected a higher standard of care and professionalism from a clinic I once trusted with the well-being of my pets. However, this experience has left me questioning the clinic's commitment to the animals in their care. My concerns about the lack of progress and the financial implications were met with unsatisfactory justifications, with no consideration given to the emotional and financial strain this ordeal has placed on us. Given the lack of resolution and the unsatisfactory service received, I have made the difficult decision to seek veterinary care elsewhere. It is disheartening to feel that the trust and loyalty I had placed in Country Animal Clinic have been betrayed. I will be sharing my experience with others and can no longer recommend this clinic to fellow pet owners who seek reliable and compassionate care for their animals.
