We were reated as *********

<p> Yesterday when my sister and I visited the Cotton On store in Wonder Park Shopping Centre (Pretoria North), two ladies allegedly lost their phone in the store. We only heard about their loss when were in the queue to pay for the things we were buying. The cashiers were talking amongst themselves about how they were calling the securities, but none of them were coming to the store to assist. They wanted the securities to come close the store doors and have everyone in the store searched, but this never materialised right until we paid for our stuff and left. To our surprise, as we were approaching the food court, we were stopped by a group of securities, close to 5 of them who informed us that we were suspected to have ****** something from the shop to which we had the plastic bag to. We were told that we needed to go back to the store and have this matter discussed there. When we got to the store, one of the securities said they should check the video footage, but one the cashiers brushed him off and insisted that we needed to be searched. My sister and I were then directed to the fitting rooms to where we were body searched and our bags stripped open in search of a missing phone. When nothing was found, we were told we could go, with no apology, and no remorse from the cashiers; the securities as well as the ladies that had lost the phone. What bothers me the most is that out of the people that were in the store during the alleged *****ing, only my sister and I had to go through this whole ordeal. We were treated like ******* and escorted by securities, with everyone watching us like we are a bunch of *********.</p>
