Should have worn other shoes

I bought my shoes from Cotton On on Thursday. I wore them yesterday for the 1st time yesterday and they tore already. I went to Ultra but even before I started dancing, the s**** was torn. I was told by the store clerk that I should have taken them off them (implying that I should have gone barefoot) or worn other shoes. Had I known that the shoes were of a poor quality that I wouldn't have bought them in the 1st place. he basically told me that he would not entertain this and said it was wear and tear. that was no embarassment or over to try have them fixed. I was basically told that it was my problem and I shouldn't have worn them.

My problem is that it was the 1st time wearing them and Cotton On should have placed a disclaimer that I should not wear their shoes because their quality is poor. I wasn't even looking for a refund. The manager didn't even bother coming of the office to try and help resolve the issue. Thet just didn't care. I was not important to them. That to me is so disgusting. I was practically shaking, I was so upset. I can't believe I got this kind of property and treatment from Cotton On. I thought they were better than this.
