Good day, we went to the Cotton on store Canal Walk Cape town last week tuesday evening. my sister wanted to buy shorts for her sons (2 for R500 deal). we weren't sure about the sizes so she bought 4, two at cape gate and the other two at canal walk. we weren't sure about the sizes and do live 400km away from our nearest cotton on. so i offered buying another two on my credit card and just returning the two she didn't take. before we bought them, we went to a male behind the counter and asked if it would be possible to do that, even though that it meant that she might take one on one receipt and the other on another receipt and that i had to get the full R500 refund at the end. he said it's absolutely fine, as we would still be returning 2 shorts and not just one and out of 6 shorts we kept 4. he'll overwrite the system if needed to help us and refund my R500. i've made the mistake by not asking his name as he was very helpfull just as the lady at the cape gate store and thought that that just the way Cotton on treat their customers and would go that extra mile if needed, to my disappointment. i went all the way back to the canal walk store again as this guy knew about this to return those extra two short. the cashier Yushrie Lewis was very helpfull until Falieg (i hope that' s how you spell his name) came to authorize. he refused to do the refund as i didn't have both bank cards with me, i had mine but not my sister's. he just kept saying it's two totally different transactions and he can only refund the one with my card. thee more i tried to explain to him that we asked specifically how it's going to work and if it's going to be ok he just didn't want to assist me at all. he asked the male's name who told me that and when i didn't know the guys name, made it off as if i was lying. ok very frustrated with him not even trying to listen or help me at all i said you know just do what you have to, put the one short (R250) on a gift card and the other R250 back on my card. when they scanned the one supposed to go back on my bank account the amount was less than R250 and again he refused to change it he just kept saying he can't change anything on the system if it scans for that price then that's what i'll get back. that is not how things work you cannot get less back than what you paid for with a refund. there is no such story. in the meanwhile my husband decided to take two shirt for the amount of the gift card as we live far away and so that i do not lose the money. at that point Farieg went to the back. so the one cashier told the other one (Yshrie) not to put the money back on the gift card, as it would take 24hours to activate and i wouldn't be able to use it immediately. farieg came back and again to refuse to do that, so that i wouldn't be able to use the gift card or buy the shirts immediately with that. i said to him at one point that my niece forgot her card in her husbands car and the gave her cash back and his answer was they shouldn't have done that. for me it only meant that the were willing to help her where he found a 1000 excuses not to assist me and make my life as difficult as possible. i also know that he could change the system as i've bought clothes before where the price were different on the system and they just change it. can you please look into this matter for me as i feel i was treated unfairly and that this is definitely not the way to treat a customer
