Cotton On sadly isn't about understanding customers
To whom it may concern,
I am applaud by the way Cotton On Group has handled COVID. My account is in arrears due to being UNEMPLOYED and South Africa has been going through retrenchments and LOCKDOWN which has prohibited me from being able to look for permanent employment in which to settle this account.
The amounts I have offered to pay are apparently not up to standard for Cotton On group and I am therefore being registered as a negative credit contributor solely based on the fact that I can not AFFORD to pay the account. Today an attorneys company contacted me and the lady was outright rude and bombastic at my situation which was not the first time an accounts handler has been rude with me when I state I don't know where to get the money from to pay the account. I cannot make money appear in my account by magic. The phone was put down in my ear today when I asked what is expected from me in this situation.
It is sad that there is no human understanding in your policies during a world wide pandemic or in the staff that are instructed to deal with these issues.
What exactly is expected during this time? Most places gave credit relief for Covid. Most of lockdown stores were not even open for purchases.
I hope that in the future Cotton On can be more about humanity and understanding than robotic during times of panic. I used to love Cotton On but based on the experience I now have had with you I won't be supporting you again.
Regards
