Closure of store before closing time

Cotton On Eastgate refuses customers to purchase ten minutes before the shop close. I was given a whole lot of excuses that the other shops are closing whereas they were open and told I won’t be able to pay cause tills are closed. I thought the law allows customers to enter stores as long as it’s before closing time.
