Cotton On Waterfront…DO BETTER

I am so disgusted! My friend was shopping and waiting in the line to buy an item at Cotton On (she was literally wearing a Cotton On shirt). An employee of Cotton On came up to her and asked her to leave the store because what she was wearing was “inappropriate.” She was wearing an oversized T-shirt and running shorts, what about her outfit was inappropriate?!

We are dancers and attend a dance college at the waterfront and all of us support Cotton On, we wear items everyday from Cotton On.

She felt victimised because she was already in the line when she was approached. She also felt embarrassed people were listening to the encounter and watching her.

This was totally uncalled for because if we were a group dressed the same, the situation would have been different.

She is the most sweetest person I have ever met and is kind to everyone she meets. She left the store in tears and completely upset with the encounter she had.

I want this situation to be taken seriously. I am not looking for an apology, but would really appreciate one on her behalf. I want your customer service to change, it’s is extremely disrespectful and disappointing.
