COSATU and the Tripartite Alliance

As a former member of the ANC and as a worker, I was connected to COSATU through the South African Democratic Teacher's Union (SADTU). I have always wondered whether or not the ruling party could comfortably share a bed with a Confederation of Workers Unions. My doubts were confirmed by COSATU's resounding silence after the shooting of mineworkers at the Marikana gold mine. After my recent experiences with Standard Bank, it is clear that the workers are conspiring in their own oppression when they rely on COSATU. The ANC sold out to White capital at CODESA I have to conclude that the Tripartite Alliance between the ANC, COSATU and the Communist Party is a JOKE. Merry Christmas.
