power supply that killed my computer components
So bought the Corsair VS 550w

For a month all seemed good ..
Few weeks back i just get a black screen and screen goes into stand by mode but computer is still running.
So i restart and the screen stays this way, plug out the power from the power supply and plug back in ,comes back on.

Computer a week after starts to restart every hour at random and booting to the POST and stating surges are being detected.
Go into BIOS and asus stats show where it should be 12V it is doing 13.8-14.2V and keeps flactuating.

Took another power supply and power was at 11.89V
Sent in the computer and the techie stated\the motherboard seems to have gotten damaged this could be from bad power supplies "

So Corsair power supply fried my motherboard and my i5 2500k wont work on newer motherboards cause of socket changes.

Very very dissapointed as this is going to cost me a lot to fix!
