I drove a Toyota Corolla through the Kruger when I stopped at a toilet for the ladies. When they returned I turned the key, and NOTHING.... DEAD AS A DOOR-NAIL. Computer / immobilizer fault. It was 40Km from Skukuza where there were some form of emergency service. I was quoted R2600 to pull the car for that short distance. Staff members returning to Skukuza were able to pull me for R300, but were too scared of the Skukuza bunch. I was forced to go to AVIS who only had a very expensive car for me. More than I normally pay for a 16 seat bus! I was forced to rent it for two days. I contacted Christo from Corporate Auto, and in spite of it being a FRIDAY and very busy, he gave me an Electrician who tested everything for 3-4 Hours. Without the Toyota computer he was stuck. The man Wynand went out of his way to help me pull the car through the gate (where SANP charges another fortune for help) Christo, again in spite of a queue of other vehicles, put the car on the computer He could see that were were SASSA pensioners, but still did the tests and ordered the small sensor from JHB. I had to go home, and two days later he phoned to come and fetch the car. I was ready to go to the bank to apply for a loan to pay him. When my wife heard how little he asked, she shouted ... HE IS AN ANGEL, and I agree! When the Kruger staff saw me in trouble they charged the maximum they could get away with. Not him. he treated us fairly and with compassion. Thank you Christo and Wynand.
