Failed to deliver

Initially, all was well. I registered my trademark/etc. and everything went smoothly. Then, 2 years passed and it was time to renew. I was reminded to do so, all fine so far.

Then, I paid for the renewal service, and that was apparently it at the time (or so it seemed). Six days later I was then told that I was required to submit documentation (the same documentation that I submitted when registering in the first place). I was told that I had seven days to do so. I submitted the documentation on the seventh day, and I was told that everything was in order.

I then received nothing for almost a month, after which I was told that my renewal had been rejected by the Government because it had been submitted too late. How can it be too late if I submitted it to CORP within the time frame they gave me?

They then told me that I would need to apply for the trademark again from scratch, paying an additional fee, which naturally I refused. Why should I pay more money when I did everything according to the specifications they gave me? It is their job to know what deadlines the Government requires - if they give me inaccurate information, then what am I actually paying them for?

I could have taken the easy way out, paid the additional fee, and been done with it - but I for one refuse to pay for a mistake that wasn't made by me. CORP repeatedly denies any responsibility for this problem, laying the blame on both myself and the Government. If they had any professionalism whatsoever, they would have either processed the 'new' application without charging an additional fee, or refunded the money that was already paid.

They refuse to do either, claiming that there are no refunds for cancelling the process partway through. This isn't a cancellation; this is a total failure on their part to deliver.

I know I won't get my money back. I can't recommend that anyone use their services, as you're taking a risk that if they make mistakes (such as giving you incorrect information), they will hold you liable and refuse to deliver what was agreed upon.
