RENTAL BOOKING AGENT WITHOLDING BREAKAGES DEPOSIT

My office booked a 2 bed, self-catering apartment in Ballito for 2 guests per night through Booking.com. The managing agent for the property who listed with Booking.com required a BREAKAGES DEPOSIT of R2000 payable into their account. There were no breakages and the managing rental agent: Cornerstone Realty Specialists, are refusing to repay the deposit. Sonya the principal argues that there were more than 2 people staying over on one of the nights, which is absolutely an error on their part. They are misrepresenting the fact with Booking.com who have no way of confirming are dependent on the agent to confirm the amount of guests per night. Cornerstone Realty Specialists also assumed that the visitors had checked out one day early and removed R600 worth of food stuffs from the kitchen. Sonja acts obo of 3 different entities: Cornerstone Realty Specialists, Ballito Holiday Accommodations and Ballito Holidays Daily. They are REFUSING to repay the deposit based solely on Sonja refusing to honour her agreement with our CEO who contacted her telephonically early on the morning of the last night, phoning to request late check-out the following morning, which she agreed to. We will be taking further action. They also deleted our previous review on booking.com.
