changing warranty terms

Cooper has a 80000 km warranty on tyres purchased but when i took my tyres back after 19000 km there was basically no tread left. They took the tyre and send it up to Johannesburg for a report when it came back, there where lots of stories why it didn't't make the kilo meters promised and i am fed up with it.
