UNETHlCAL, lNCOMPETENT, DlSHONEST

Jessica Hough is part owner of Cool Pool Installers and Donovan is part owner/supervisor. Both parties were complicit in everything stated below. Our pool installation started on Monday 9 October. It took six weeks to complete. Before I begin with a record of events, I would like you to know that not only is Cool Pools *********** and unable to install pools, they are also ********* and dishonest. They make up stories on a daily basis to cover themselves for poor quality workmanship, and they intimidate their staff to tell LlES in order to protect themselves. We have been subjected to daily *********, dishonest and *********** conduct. Here is a list of our experiences with Cool Pools. Please refer to the photographs that support each claim: • They cut our existing AstroTurf too short (and threw away the offcuts) before the pool was even fitted into the ground. Anyone would know that one cannot estimate where the AstroTurf would need to be cut until the tiling around the pool is complete. They then said that we told them to cut the AstroTurf where they cut it before the pool was set in the ground, in case they would need to pay for the new turf. (Their story regarding this also changed a number times, which is clear evidence of their fabrication/LlES.) My husband was with me when we asked them to loosen and fold the Astro back and work around it. They then got staff members to write affidavits stating that we told them to cut the AstroTurf before the pool was installed in the ground. The language used in the affidavits was not the staffs’ language but the language of the owners of Cool Pools. The staff are desperate to keep their jobs so will say whatever their bosses tell them to say. We tried to find Astro to match our existing Astro but it has been discontinued. We now need to install new AstroTurf at our own cost. • Cool Pools installed the pipes from the pump above the ground instead of below the ground. • Cool Pools tried to cover the gap in the AstroTurf by laying tiles (misaligned) with our existing tiles, thinking we wouldn’t notice. • They app**** our mosaics without letting the resin cure so they appeared white under the water. When we asked them to fix this they simply stuck another layer of mosaics over the first layer and the white lines weren’t visible because of the blue on the mosaics underneath them. • The tiles behind the pool were installed misaligned with our existing tiles even after I specifically asked them (at the beginning of the tiling process) to position all tiles in alignment with our existing tiles. (We let this go and will contract another company to redo these tiles as we were desperate to have Cool Pools off our property. This is yet another cost we have to bear.) We asked Donovan about the misaligned tiling at the back of the pool, and he rep****, “You instructed us to surround the pool with one full tile.” If you look at the other three sides of the pool, none of them are surrounded by full tiles, as our instructions were to align all tiles with the originals (see pics of all four sides). Proof of yet another LlE. • They ordered double the amount of drainage than what was necessary which cost us an extra R3000. We asked them to return the extra drainage and are still waiting for our refund four weeks later. (It has obviously been ******.) • They told us each day that they would finish the job either that day or the next day and this went on for six weeks. Dealing with unprofessional and poor quality workmanship on a daily basis was hard, but not as hard as having to endure the incessant and extreme LlES told each day as well as their ************ of their staff. I really do not wish Cool Pools on any client looking forward to having a pool. Cool Pools will respond to this review in a desperate attempt to defend themselves (no doubt with more LlES). If you are tempted to believe them, please have a look at the pics I’ve posted – they speak for themselves.
