Cook4life pressure cooker incident and insurance claim denial.

I have had their pressure cooker for about 4 years now, but in August this year I sustained 2nd degree burns on chest, breasts and shoulder. When I tried opening the cooker after letting it rest the content (tripe, steam and water) burst out and landed on my upper body.

Due to the checkups my medical aid savings maxed out and I had to start paying cash, unfortunately I'm still left with medical bills that I have to pay and a prrmant life scars.

I made them aware, they collected the cooker and as expected their insurance company denied my claims stating the cooker was in perfect condition and its probably the fact that I cooked the tripe with the out layer.

I would not advise anyone to buy a pressure cooker from them, they have no remorse, sympathy nor sense of accountability whatsoever, they are more invested in making sure the insurance company does not pay and they name is not tarnished. I regret the day I bought from them, to say I hate them is a understatement. Bunch of selfish, self centered individuals that are here to make money and nothing else.

They lack sense of urgency, terrible communication and don't care about the aftersales.

I'm so disappointed and frustrated at the medical bills that I'm now faced with.
