Chuck Tailor lasts only 10 month!?

Hi so i bought me a pair of white chuck tailors at an approved converse retailer in december 2016 actually i bought 2 pairs one for me and one for my wife. This is not the 1st time ive bought chucks iv got 5 other pairs i bought previous years etc. Anyway so ofcourse with the sneaker being white it got dirty and i washed it a few times by hand as ive always washed my chucks and my wife did the same, about 2 months ago i started noticing that my left chucks glue starting to come loose so i went to the store and explained what happened and ive bought the shoe a few months earlier, she then said bring it in and we will have a look, the day i brought it in the manager was there and he looked at my purchase slip and asked me very sarcastically this shoe was bought 10month ago and i said yes and? anyway we exchanged some words he was very arrogant and said he will show it to his rep, i then waited 3 weeks before the store owner contacted me to say there is nothing they can do because i washed the shoe, I asked him if it is the wash then why is my wifes chucks still perfect and why has it never happened to my other chucks and most of all why did it only happen to the left shoe??? it makes no sense he then said all he can do is give me a discount price on the next pair of chucks i buy which is R570 so it means i lose out on my 800rand i paid for my chucks? and i must still spend another R570 to buy a shoe that is going to break in a few months time? this is so disappointing i cant even begin to describe it, I mean you dont get this treatment from other shoe companies like nike and addidas etc if the shoe has a defect even after a year or more they will replace it with a new pair as long as the customer is happy. i mean the shoe doent even have rips or damage from my side. i hardly wear the damn things.
