Pathetic Service from CLC Customer Services
If I had an option to give zero stars I would. Absolutely pathetic service from customer services at The Contact Lens Club. As long as your order is straight forward, the service is great. Add the human factor from Customer Services and it all falls apart. On the 30th May 2022 I ordered my lenses online with CLC. My order was received on the 2nd of June 2022. When I opened my box I realised I had ordered the incorrect prescription of lenses. (My eyes were tested in December and the strength of my lenses was increased). I tried calling Customer Services to no avail. I then sent an email requesting assistance but received no response. The same email was sent a few times again but still no response was received. By the 17th June, in frustration, I sent the same email 20 times in the hope that it would get noticed. Still NO RESPONSE!!! On the 19th of June I went to Spec Savers in Fourways crossing (CLC are somehow affiliated to Specsavers) in the hope that they would be able to assist. They refused. On the 20th of June after several attempts I managed to get through to Customer Services at CLC. I was told the lenses needed to be handed in at Execuspecs in Fourways mall for inspection. Once Execuspecs gave the all clear (boxes were sealed, not damaged and able to be resold) a new set of lenses at the correct prescription would be available to be collected. I arranged with a courier service to deliver the incorrect lenses with a covering letter and instructions. I received an email on the 21st June to say they were ready for collection. Again I sent the courier to collect. I received the lenses today (22 June) and guess what .........? The lenses had NOT been exchanged but just sent back to me. I immediately called CLC customer services only to be told it wasn’t their fault/problem. Having spent money on courier fees, I now needed to return the lenses again to Execuspecs and follow the same procedure. As I work in Midrand I asked if I couldn’t go to an Execuspecs in Kyalami or Specsavers and just exchange my lenses for the correct lenses. I was told a blatant NO. The same procedure needed to be followed and a new order raised before any exchange could take place. The lady at CLC failed to see the urgency of the matter and repeatedly said It was not her fault/problem. 20 days after receiving my incorrect lenses, there is still no resolution. I am now going through to Kyalami to see if I can actually sort this out.
