Lost money paid for extended warranty

I bought an extended warranty (motor protection plan) for my Ford Ranger which was bought in March 2022. I paid approx. R14500 for cover that would expire only in 2024. On Thursday, 29 September I received an SMS, "Your policy will terminate 30 September ". Upon phoning Africa Insure (the underwriters) I was advised to buy a new policy as Constantia liquidated???? What about the R14500 I already paid? This is not fair or acceptable as I will npw have to fall in line with the creditors if I want my money back! Can anyone advise what I can do?
