InsureAfrica gross negligence failure on due dilligence and failure of treating customers fairly
On January 15th 2022, I bought a motor warranty from Insure Africa (Administrator) on a car I purchased. The warranty was a 2 year warranty. Yesterday the 04 May 2023 I called them to enquire about my product, to which they rep**** the Insurer (Constantia Insurance Company) was liquidated. Now since they are the administrators of the product they had a duty to inform all customers of this condition back in 2022. This was not done by them. They should have advised of the liquidation and offered suitable alternatives. This was not done. I would suggest to all customers of Insure Africa who are in a similar situation to contact the short term ombudsman as well as the FSCA (Financial Sector Conduct Authority) to lodge a complaint. They should not be allowed to offer financial advise and remain in business when they do not advise their customers of conditions that have changed while they are the Administrators of your policy. This is why you are an administrator. You have a duty to keep your customers informed of material changes of the policy. Failure to do so should invalidate your trading license.
