Poor Service at Connie Voster Hispital

I was admitted at the abovementioned hospital on the 21st July 2023. I am grateful that the hospital saved my life, however I would like to lodge a complaint against Dr Muzeke. On the 9th August I was seen by a Dr that was on call (I forgot the name of the Dr) during ward rounds and he was with Sr Mashele. The Dr told me that I was ready for discharge however he couldn’t process my discharge as the pharmacy was closed on the 9th August as it was a public holiday. I was then told I would be discharged on the 10th August. On the 10th August Dr Muzeke did the ward rounds and told me that she won’t discharge me as she wanted to increase my actraphane units with additional 24 units- she said that its very risky but failed to consult with me and explain the advantages and disadvantages of this in detail. I then asked her if 24 units was not too much and will my body accept such a high dosage. She then told me that if I don’t agree to the dosage increase I would then have to sign RHT. I then decided I’m not going to allow the dosage increase and was given the RHT document to sign. Dr Muzeke then further told my family members that were at the hospital when the incident occurred that I will never be admitted at Connie Vorster Hospital should I fall ill in the future. In the light of the above I believe and feel that my rights as a patient were violated by Dr Muzeke. Thank you.
