Condor Ferries out of their depth
My family had the extreme misfortune of returning on Condor Liberation on 22.08.15 (a far from liberating experience). Direction & guidance to the boat was practically non-existent, with too few staff, poor signage & lots of confused & frustrated drivers (given no idea which lane they should be in). Any instructions that were given by staff proved confusing for all & it was fortunate there were no accidents. Boarding Liberation was also chaotic, with poor stewarding by too few staff. Tannoy instructions were barely audible, or understandable. We hadn't been told that the cramped 'airline reject' seats were on an allocated basis. Therefore, we had to vacate the seats we were in & work through congested, narrow passageways to the other side of the boat to where our car was. The only video shown, other than a daft Safety Video concerned the Duty Free shop & was on continuous/monotonous loop, far beyond the shop closing time. Returning to our vehicle via narrow, congested passageways was chaotic & distressed our autistic son. Our letter to Alicia Edwards got no reply & customer service kept saying they'd contact us in a few days, but never did. & Blocked from Twitter & Facebook.
