Poor quality product and services

Concrete Studio confirmed that their tables are meticulously sealed with high-quality seal and purposefully crafted to withstand everyday use. They further confirm that the table is resistant to minor scratches and stains. They confirmed that tables and benches were highly unlikely to crack or bend. They indicated that they would assess the situation in the unlikely event that this occurs within a year.

I am extremely disappointed with the quality of the product I received from Concrete Studio. I purchased a concrete table with two benches and a firepit in November 2023, and right from the start, it was clear that the product did not meet the expected standards.

Late delivery time

Delivery of these items would have taken place on 29 November 2023.

However, on 29 November 2023, the benches could not be delivered, as they were sagging and required additional support. The benches were only delivered on 13 December 2023.

I reached out to their customer service team on 28 December 2023, around two weeks later. Some of the issues that were raised with the Company were:

Strange marks

Strange marks appeared on the table and, to a lesser extent, on the benches on the firepit shortly after delivery. This was brought to the Company’s attention on 28 December 2023.

The Company “tried” to resolve this around March 2024 but left a massive unpleasant white mark on the table instead. The company’s response to this was that I had to buy these products in a different colour, as opposed to the colour on their website. The Company further said that if we are lucky, the marks will not be returned.

Cracks

In addition to the cracks in one of the benches, the firepit also started to crack. These cracks are becoming increasingly visible and more. Again, this round firepit was made as per the products available on the website.

The company’s resolution to this was that we wish to avoid cracks, we need to get a firepit that is not square.

Steel

The steel on the firepit was advertised as resistant to rust. Shortly after receiving this firepit, the steel started to show the first signs of rust and has since gotten worse.

Sagging benches

Despite that additional support, the benches are sagging, and we expect them to crack.

Subsequently, the condition of these products has gotten worse significantly.

As is evident from the above, I do not trust these products or the “fixing” thereof. I requested that my money be refunded, including the delivery fees.

The company responded that it is a very small business that cannot reimburse customers but is prepared to reimburse me over a period of 6 months on condition that they immediately take possession of the products. This was not acceptable.

As a customer, I expected better quality and timely support. At this point, I am very dissatisfied and will not be purchasing from Concrete Studio again. I would advise others to proceed with caution when considering products from this company.
