Park n Ride SA

Although I realize that this review does not directly relate to an experience with Computicket I know that many customers use park n ride purely because it is supported by Computicket.

This evening we used the park n ride service in order to attend the SA vs Ireland rugby match. On our trip home from the match we were on the last bus for the evening. As we climbed onto the bus we immediately saw that the bus was packed beyond capacity. There were people standing in the aisles as well as in the front section of the bus (including a 4 year old child).

As we did not feel that this was safe for all passengers on board we questioned the bus driver who informed us that the manager for park n ride, Neil, was already en route. Once Neil arrived a number of passengers argued that the bus was overloaded and was not safe for all passengers on board. One passenger mentioned that even his child was required to stand as there really was not space for her on the bus. Neil confirmed this situation with the driver who reiterated that the bus was overloaded and he was not happy driving under these circumstances.

Neil concluded by saying that passengers should either get onto the already overloaded bus or find another way home (in far less polite language but I digress).

Luckily for us the bus driver was extremely cautious driving well below the speed limit and drastically increasing his following distance. However, I feel that it is absolutely appalling that we can be required to be driven *******ly and under dangerous conditions. As Computicket is currently a supporter of Park n Ride I feel that they are equally responsible for ensuring the safety of their customers. Therefore in order to prevent this in future I implore Computicket to stop using or supporting park n rides services.
