Computicket - The ticket you should never trust!!!
I purchased tickets to the 14h30 Trevor Noah show in Durban on 13th August 2017 a few days before the event as it was my fiance's birthday on 13th August and he really wanted to see the show.
When he went to collect the tickets the day before the event, there was no record of a transaction and we were told that the tickets have not been booked.
I called and spoke to Pam immediately and sent an email however I have not received feedback from her to date.
I am 100% certain that the tickets were booked as per the display on the screen after the booking. My fiance received an sms stating that the money had gone out of his account and we never worried about it again. I am a new user to computicket online and it never occurred to me to take a screenshot. Many of my friends always brag about how easy it is to book online, not to mention their slogan "the ticket you can trust", I never even contemplated that there may be some problem with my booking until it was too late. I even remember my seats were L57-L58.
After my call to Pam at Computicket, the money was reversed back into my fiance's credit card which clearly indicates that there was a problem. My call to Jerome on the morning of the event provided some clarity, Jerome indicated that perhaps it was a pending booking and the money would have been returned to us. This is exactly what happened.
Furthermore, Computicket is aware of this issue with pending authorizations as indicated by their consultants, surely we should be warned with an online message to take a screenshot of the tickets.
I believe that this was no fault on my part as I did everything correctly as indicated by the system and when dealing with such a highly regarded company such as computicket, I should not be expected to safeguard myself, as like i mentioned before, you'll claim to be "the ticket that we can trust!"
I then got a lousy email with some fancy words regarding contracts, however to my knowledge a contract is binding once money changes hands and the money did leave the account with the reference COMPUTICKET TREVOR NOAH as indicated on the bank statement. This email was from a Manager named Neo Mogale, who didn't even have the decency to call and apologize even though he knew that it was my fiance's birthday and when I called him he refused to speak to me. The least he could have done was offered some comforting words.
In any case, this was extremely unacceptable and the manner in which it was dealt with was just pathetic. No response from call centre agents and managers refusing to take calls. Could the customer service get any worse. Perhaps if it was dealt with in a better manner, I could have accepted it.
I will always remember Computicket as the ticket that you should never trust!
